What affects the price of a service?
- The type of boiler: back boilers and boilers with a cylinder take longer
- How many appliances you need checking
- Whether you need a landlord gas safety certificate as well
- Access: a boiler in a tight loft takes longer than one in a kitchen
What is included?
Every service includes a full safety check of the boiler and flue, combustion testing with a flue gas analyser, cleaning of key parts and a written service record. If we find a problem, we explain it and give you a price before doing any extra work.
Spreading the cost
Phoenix Home Care Level 1 costs £5.75 a month (£69 a year) and covers your annual service and safety check. Level 2 at £15 a month adds breakdown repairs to the boiler and thermostat, and Level 3 at £20 a month adds the wider heating system.
Is a cheap service worth it?
Be wary of very cheap services. A proper service takes time and the right test equipment. A quick look and a sticker will not keep your warranty valid or keep you safe.
