How Much Does a New Boiler Cost?

· 2 min read

New boiler cost guide: a Phoenix van on a building site, with new boilers fitted from £2,499

A new gas or LPG boiler supplied and fitted by Phoenix starts from £2,499. The final price depends on the type of boiler your home needs and how much work is involved, so we always give a fixed quote after a free survey.

What affects the cost of a new boiler?

  • Boiler type: combi, system or regular (heat only)
  • The make and model, and the length of warranty
  • Whether the boiler stays in the same place or moves
  • Converting from a tank-fed system to a combi, which means removing tanks and a cylinder
  • Flue changes, especially if the new flue needs a new route
  • Pipework upgrades, such as a larger gas pipe
  • Cleaning the system with a power flush or chemical clean to protect the new boiler
  • New controls, such as a smart thermostat

Which boiler do you need?

Combi boilers suit most homes with one bathroom and give hot water straight from the mains. Homes with two or more bathrooms often do better with a system boiler and a hot water cylinder. Regular boilers suit some older systems with tanks in the loft. We will recommend the right option for your home, not the most expensive one.

What is included in a Phoenix installation?

  • A free survey and fixed quote
  • Removal and disposal of the old boiler
  • Installation by Gas Safe registered engineers
  • Flushing and protecting the system
  • Registering the warranty and the installation with building control
  • A walkthrough of your new boiler and controls

Warranties

We install Worcester Bosch, Vaillant and Ideal boilers, with manufacturer warranties of up to 10 years depending on the model. To keep the warranty valid, the boiler needs servicing every year.

Repair or replace?

If your boiler is over ten years old, breaking down often or needs an expensive part, replacing it is usually better value. If it is a simple repair on a sound boiler, we will tell you that too.
